The Challenge
Design consult and construct exhibition furniture for the refurbishment of The Orientation Room for Sydney Living Museum at the historic Vaucluse House. Exhibition furniture to be build honouring traditional joinery methods and modern exhibition requirements to protect priceless objects from hands and sunlight.
The Solution
Furniture was built using dove tail joints, hand crafted brass handles and escutcheons, light sensitive acrylic housed into all draws for protections, and high tech security sensors throughout. All work had to be carries out in a heritage environment.
