Bundanon – Nowra NSW
Artist installations, purpose-built cabinetry, bespoke object mounts, and joinery
Bundanon is a unique national arts organisation near Nowra, City of Shoalhaven, New South Wales, Australia. Hodgson Projects regularly works at Bundanon with artists and curators to fabricate artist installations, purpose-built cabinetry, bespoke object mounts, and joinery.
Hodgson Projects fabricated cement fibre sheet plinths from an MDF substructure wrapped in a 10mm cement fibre sheeting – designed to marry with the cement floor. We forged steel rods to hold didgeridoos and powder-coated steel stands to display a traditional Nawi boat. Working with the curators, Hodgson Projects fabricated and installed a giant wall of stacked shelving, built to display 700 Bowls, showcasing woven bowls created in traditional weaving workshops during the exhibition period by artist Dean Cross.
