The Challenge

Construct the fit out of the John Howard library.

The Solution

The fit out of the John Howard library involved the construction of very detailed joinery and showcases, built from a wide range of materials including Stylelite, glass, acrylic, anodised aluminium, fabric and timber veneer. The design was very complex, with many intricate details and required input from our full team of carpenters, cabinet makers and designers. The items on display were on loan from a range of institutions and as such our showcases had to comply with their strict conservation guidelines. The installation itself presented many challenges, from working within tight heritage guidelines, to delivering large joinery components via very tight lifts, corridors and doorways.
